Dentures in Little Elm and Frisco

Woodlake Family Dentistry can help patients in Little Elm and Frisco replace missing teeth with quality dentures that you’ll be proud of. We specialize in both traditional and fixed denture options.

Denture dentistry has evolved over the years. With advances in technology, dentures look natural and are typically made from strong acrylic composites. Dentures are custom fitted and very comfortable to wear.

Traditional dentures replace missing teeth and can be used to fill in small gaps. These partial dentures differ from a bridge as they are not mounted to other teeth and can be removed for cleaning. A full denture is for patients who have lost or had all of their teeth removed. Full dentures can also be used to replace a full row of teeth on the top and/or the bottom.

In cases where a patient’s teeth are too damaged for repair, your dentist may recommend removing and replacing them with quality dentures.

Unlike fixed dentures, traditional dentures can be removed. Caring for them is easy. Just remove them and soak in a cleansing solution. Brush, floss and rinse.

Fixed dentures, or dental implants, are a permanent solution to replacing missing teeth. Implants are made by inserting a post into the jaw bone and then mounting the fixed dentures on top of it. Like traditional dentures, these fixed dentures can be custom fit to replace partial areas or for patients who are replacing all of their teeth.

Both fixed and traditional dentures are long-lasting and look completely natural. An advantage of having implants is that they don’t move or shift. Caring for them begins at home with proper dental hygiene and regular office checkups.

During your consultation, your dentist will guide you with your choices available for dentures. Depending on your bone structure, dental health and goals, we’ll create a treatment plan to works for you and your budget. We have custom financing options available, too.

With traditional dentures, we create an impression of your mouth and build the dentures. Since the teeth are already missing, there is no need for surgery. You’ll be back to your normal routine once the dentures are placed. Fixed dentures require surgery to mount the implants. As with any surgery, you may experience tenderness and swelling for a couple of days. You may need to eat soft foods to avoid discomfort.

We can give you a better idea during your consultation, but costs will vary depending on whether you need full or partial dentures. Our prices are very competitive, and we have financing available. Traditional dentures are more affordable than implants, but both offer durability that will last a lifetime.

It’s not likely. Since we get impressions of your teeth and jaw structures, we can create dentures that are custom fit just for you. Because they are built to match your existing smile, you should experience only a small difference in how they feel.

From beginning to end this office was welcoming and warm. I must say so detailed. This is the best my teeth have felt in years. Like I was so confident when I left and didn’t feel like things were being told to me just because. My entire family comes to this office and I’m glad I am here now!
